Two weeks ago KIVARI held their Spring ‘22 collection event and we at Twinkling Tabletops were lucky to have a seat at the table for an exclusive preview at the Boathouse, Rose Bay.
The worlds of fashion and interiors harmonised in the most beautiful display of colour for the event, with vibrant tablescapes that set the scene for the magnificent Spring ‘22 range from KIVARI. Twinkling Tabletops supplied stunning Australian made beeswax and soy candles that complemented the tones in the dreamworthy KIVARI collection.
We caught up with Candice Billingham, KIVARI’s Brand and Marketing Manager to talk about the inspiration behind their range and the fabulous Spring Soirée.
Tell us about the KIVARI Spring '22 collection. What was the inspiration behind this brilliant collection?
This Spring collection is a special one for us, it is an expression of newness and sophistication while staying true to who we are as a brand. New prints, silhouettes and fabrications combine with our signature silhouettes that we know our customers love.
When planning your event at the Boathouse, what were the most important 3 things to consider to complement and bring your collection to life?
The location, the ambiance and the guestlist. All of these elements needed to feel authentic to our brand. KIVARI is all about a coastal and resort aesthetic, so the Boathouse in Rose Bay was the perfect spot, by the water. The ambiance needed to feel welcoming and the guestlist needed to be an authentic group of friends who share our love of KIVARI.
Why is colour so important and what are your favourite hues right now that inspired the collection?
We are all about colour! Each season we create a series of beautiful prints. We are loving tones of yellow, peach and pink at the moment.
How did you choose the perfect elements to complement your Spring ‘22 vision for the event?
This was an easy choice. We chose elements that felt authentic to who we are as a brand. From the location to the cocktail on arrival, the table setting and also the brands we worked with to bring this to life. All of these elements needed to have a connection to KIVARI so it felt natural and not forced.
Who did you partner with and what did they bring to the table?
All brands we partnered with were female formed and led. We didn’t set out with this guideline in mind however it’s how it ended up playing out. Being female led ourselves, supporting growth and gender equality is a key value of ours and we are big believers in adjusting your vibration to attract like-minded people who also share the same values. Twinkling Table Tops was no exception, from the very first phone call Dee was a dream, we connected straight away and had a good laugh. Twinkling Table Tops’ candles are so beautifully unique and come in a range of beautiful colours. They are also made to order so it was a no-brainer for us to have them at our event.
What other key elements on the day reflected the collection and were imperative to making the fashion come to life in the physical environment?
A key element was definitely the florals, not only the beautiful colours but also the combination of different textures. The brief for this element was formed based on our collection aesthetic and fabrications.
